Meet Terence Brady: Marketing Coordinator

July 26, 2024

Join us in giving a warm welcome to Terence Brady, our new Marketing Coordinator at the Owings Mills J. From serving in the United States Marine Corps to growing up under the guidance of inspiring family members, Terry has cultivated a strong sense of purpose and a passion for impactful work. He is eager to channel his skills and enthusiasm into promoting the JCC’s mission and telling the stories that make this community so special.

What excites you about being at the J?

The JCC excites me not only because of its many opportunities and programs, but also because of its sense of purpose and professionalism. I believe I will be able to make an impact by contributing to the voice and vision of this institution.

How did you come to your position?

I applied for this position through LinkedIn. I was looking for opportunities that would emphasize my prior professional experience.

What do you like most about your job so far?

Learning the intricacies of how the J promotes its events has been a great experience. The team I am working with has been very helpful and is giving me the tools to be successful in the department.

What are you most looking forward to doing in this role?
I am still learning the ins and outs of the J’s marketing program, but I look forward to promoting and telling the stories of staff and members and how their involvement supports the mission of this organization.

What is one accomplishment you’re most proud of?

My greatest accomplishment is serving in the United States Marine Corps. Becoming a Marine was essential to my personal growth and finding purpose and direction in my life.

Who were your childhood heroes?
I had two childhood heroes. My first one was my grandfather. He was a wise man whom I looked up to and still aspire to live up to his example now. My second hero was my mother. She is a hardworking woman who immigrated from Mauritius and became a U.S. citizen in 2001.

What is one thing few people know about you?

I was born in Keflavik, Iceland. I didn’t live there for long, as my father was in the Air Force.
