Concierge and Relationship Manager

Part-time - 20 hours per week

Summary

The JCC Outreach and Engagement department seeks a team-player with excellent interpersonal skills and a “can relate” attitude. This role will be the traffic manager for multiple entry points to programs that serve families with young children.  The successful candidate is comfortable moving beyond the status quo; excited to work on the front lines of efforts to engage families who may have little to no familiarity with Jewish programming and/or how to tap into offerings within the JCC, specifically, and the Baltimore Jewish community, broadly.

The Concierge will be a friendly face for JCC programming in public spaces including libraries, shopping malls and other locations, establishing a culture of welcome and fun for young families. The Concierge is responsible for initial meet and greets, ongoing relationship management and follow up as it relates to a variety of educational and engagement opportunities underneath a broad programming platform for Center for Children and Families. 

The Concierge will also manage and provide all data analysis to guide personalized follow-up and outreach efforts for the JCC team. This person will be responsible for helping families find what they are looking for and greeting them with a kind and welcoming desire to help them connect.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Outreach and Engagement, the Concierge and Relationship Manager is a great opportunity for someone who loves people, is strategic in his/her abilities to engage others, has a special attention to detail and is comfortable working with social media and technological platforms.

Qualifications
  1. College degree required with experience in family engagement preferred.
  2. Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to understand other people, what motivates them and how to work cooperatively with them.
  3. Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects.
  4. Ability to connect with families with young children and to understand the values and priorities of today’s “New Jewish Family”.
  5. Technologically and social media savvy and able to learn to use and manipulate new technology systems.
  6. Organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
  7. Strong communication skills.
  8. Strong collaborative and networking skills within a diverse community.
  9. Knowledge of the Baltimore Jewish community and the variety of agencies and programs available to families with young children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Organization, participation and management of weekly programs and special events for families both at the JCC and offsite.
  • Flexibility for occasional weekend program support.
  • Meet, greet, follow up and help connect families with young children to experiences that will meet their needs, and showcase additional platforms that may resonate with the families in our networks.
  • Support programming staff to promote and market family programing and help track success.
  • Create personalized approaches to families’ seeking connection to the JCC.
  • Establish regular communication vehicles and systems with JCC departments relating to leads and opportunities for follow up based on tracking data. 
  • Manage and analyze engagement attendance data to facilitate connections to the appropriate staff and, alternatively, assign accountability to other departments so that there is timely follow-up/response.
  • Provide data management and data analysis for engagement programs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Participate in agency training, staff meetings, supervisory conferences, committees and special events.  Represent the JCC on appropriate staff committees and at interagency and professional conferences as required.
Work Environment

The work environment is usually fast paced and takes place both onsite and offsite of the main campuses of the JCC.  This job requires high energy and interaction with staff as well as with members, other agency staff, community leaders, and outside partners, vendors and others.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
