Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 7:30 pm

A cross-country (Oakland and NYC) performance collaboration between veteran performance artists/writers Sara Felder and Yehuda Hyman on naming, Jewish identity, re-inventing/claiming yourself, and how to do that crazy dance in the Zoom box. Commissioned by LABA: A Global Laboratory for Jewish Culture.

Presented as part of the Queer Jewish Arts Festival, a series of programs celebrating LGBTQIA+ stories and experiences through film, theater, music, and literature.

About the Artists:

Yehuda Hyman is a playwright, dancer, choreographer, actor, and the Artistic Director of Mystical Feet Company. He was born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents from Poland and Russia. His plays include The Mad Dancers, The Mar Vista, Center of the Star, Swan Lake Bde Maka Ska and Max, Rapunzel and the Night. His new Mystical Feet project explores dance as a vehicle for spiritual levitation.

Sara Felder is a solo theater artist, playwright and juggler. While the themes of her plays and performances are serious, her form is comic, engaging, vaudevillian.
