HaZamir

HaZamir Baltimore, comprised of diverse teens from 13 different high schools, is one of 40 HaZamir chapter choirs throughout the US and Israel. Through weekly rehearsals of high-level Jewish choral music, HaZamir creates a pluralistic peer community, and builds Jewish identity, leadership skills, and a strong connection to Israel.

HaZamir Baltimore has a close relationship with our "sister" chapter, HaZamir Ashkelon. In addition to singing at the HaZamir gala concert in Lincoln Center, New York City, the two chapters perform a joint concert annually at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts.

HaZamir Baltimore rehearses Sunday evenings, 4:50-6:50pm.

HaZaPrep is designed to prepare 7th and 8th graders with the Jewish choral music skills they need to enter into the HaZamir high school program in grade 9. The HaZaPrep curriculum teaches those skills in an environment that is educational and fun. HaZaPrep rehearses Sunday evenings, 5:00-6:15pm.

HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir is excited to announce auditions for HaZamir Baltimore (grades 9-12) and HaZaPrep Baltimore (grades 7 and 8) now through September, by appointment. Email hazamirbaltimore@gmail.com.
