Holiday Events & Programs

Sing, dance, play and create with us as we celebrate Shabbat and the Jewish holidays!

The Jewish calendar is rich with tradition and meaning. For thousands of years, the Jewish community has come together to celebrate moments of joy and remember times of loss. The J serves as a destination for several engaging community events and programs throughout the holiday season.

During the year, we provide unique programs designed to educate those who are a part of the J community on holidays such as Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Slichot, Purim, and Shavuot. As you can see, the J is fully dedicated to observing Jewish values and traditions. We also recognize and participate in Shabbat -- the holy day of rest. We close before sundown on Fridays to ensure our families are given the opportunity to rest, recover, and observe this holy day in their own way.

For families with young children, we offer programs such as Tot Shabbat, Shalom Shabbat and Hands on Holidays programs at the JCC and around town.

We encourage all ages to join our engaging community events to celebrate the many Jewish holidays throughout the year. These events are held at the JCC and at partner locations in Baltimore. Learn more about our upcoming events today!
