Member and Guest Sales Representative

Summary

The Member Services Sale Representative is responsible for the promotion and sales of memberships and programs to our current and potential members.  The Member Services Sales Representative will develop relationships with prospective members, current member and other groups in the community to grow our membership base. 

This person is responsible for being fully knowledgeable about the center and its programs/services, delivers the highest level of service to our members and potential members/guests, exemplifies professionalism, and ensures we adhere to the values and mission of the JCC.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Background in Consultative sales approach preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in a membership-driven, multi-purpose facility.
  • Excellent human relations, communications and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing techniques.
  • Outstanding communicator, connector, and relationship developer; possessing exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), email and internet.  Experience with CRM database.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve individual and team goals through agency sales practices including lead generation,  tour scheduling, executing sales, relationship building, and outreach/retention.
  • Excel in customer service creating long lasting relationships in a welcoming hospitable environment.
  • Determine the needs and desires of prospective and current members.
  • Provide information to prospective members in person and over the phone regarding JCC facilities and programs that meet their individual and family needs, wants and desires.
  • Solicits prospective members both inside and outside the center using marketing techniques approved by JCC.
  • Lead tours selling JCC facility and programs.
  • Respond to all inquiries in a timely (24 hours) professional and courteous manner. This includes telephone, email and in person responses.
  • Demonstrate awareness of the importance of membership sales by engaging in conversation with members and guests to retain and increase membership as well as develop relationships with the members.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date information in CRM database.
  • Utilize various spreadsheets to follow specific lead tracking system.
  • Coordinate and/or assist and participate in all member, guest and JCC events, promotions and special projects as needed.
  • Make all members feel welcome by recognizing them, using their name and encouraging other staff to do the same.
  • Maintain high level of self motivation and flexibility.
  • Always represent the JCC in a positive and professional manner, demonstrating the values presented in our Mission and Vision statements.
  • Attend department meetings and trainings as required.
  • Consistently offer the highest level of personalized member service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and hospitable attitude.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.
