Rules Regarding Reservations and Masks

We are thrilled to have you back swimming and working out at the J. As we go through the various re-opening-phases we are learning what systems need additional refining. To this end we have found it necessary to adapt our policies around reservations so that we can ensure that all our members have a chance to swim in our pools, take a class, or work out in the fitness center.

Reservation Limits
Each member is limited to one Swim and Group Fitness reservation per day.  Due to high demand, Lap Swimmers are limited to three reservations per week. You can not sign up for the wait list on the same day that you have already secured a reservation.

Penalties for Reservation Overbooking or No Shows

Effective 10/1/20, penalty fees will take effect for the following:
No show for aquatics, group fitness, or fitness center reservations
Signing up for more than 1 fitness class per day (unless not  at full capacity 90 minutes in advance)
Signing up for more than 1 aquatics session and/or waitlist per day
Signing up for more than 3 aquatics sessions and/or waitlists per week

The following penalties are now in place for any member who does NOT show up for their reserved time and does NOT cancel their reservation at least 60 minutes prior to their reserved time.

1st Time: Membership will reach out to you

2nd Time: $10 fee will be charged to your account

3rd Time and beyond: $20 fee will be charged to your account and you will be unable to register for JCC activities for one week.

If the session you reserved did not fill up, the fee associated with the offense will be waived.  If you have not shown up within 10 minutes of the start time, your spot will be given away to a person on the waitlist who is present on our campus.

Making Reservations
Registration for upcoming Monday-Sunday activities goes live on the preceding Sunday morning. Please note that the option becomes available by the hour. So, for example, if you want to book a 9:30am session for Monday, or later, you must book after 9:30am on Sunday. If you want to book a 6:30pm session for Monday, or later, you will need to book after 6:30pm on Sunday.

Lap Swimming Times Update
Please note we have changed the reservation times to 45 minutes to allow for more booking options. If you are having issues making your reservations please email membership@jcc.org. Mask up! And Maintain Six Feet of Physical Distance
We want our members to stay Covid free so that we can keep our facilities open – wearing a mask has proven to greatly reduce the spread of the virus. In accordance with the rules in Baltimore County and City,  all members over the age of 5+* must wear masks on our campus – this includes when you are walking around the fitness center before and after a workout, when you are arriving or leaving a group fitness class or before and after your time in the pool.  This is for your own protection and the safety of others.
