Tennis Court FAQs

*Updated June 26, 2020

Q. When will the Tennis courts be available reserved court time?
A. Starting Sunday, July 5, you can play on one of two of the connected courts in one-hour increments. Court play will be first come, first serve. Available times slots are Monday - Thursday, 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am -6:30 pm. Please note Court #1 (closest to the entrance) is reserved for private lessons. Unfortunately, the courts are not available Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm since we are running J Tennis Academy..

Q. How does the reservation process work?
A. Members do not need to make a reservation; you can show up to play as long as it is within the hours the courts are available.

Q. Can I bring guests to play a game with me?
A. Unfortunately, at this time we are not allowing guests to the Aquatics Park. All players must be current members and at least one of the players must be at least 16 years old.

Q. Do I need to bring my own equipment?
A. Yes, you will need to bring your own racquet and balls and any other equipment you require. Please remember to take all of your balls with you when you leave.

Q. Can I play Pickleball on the Tennis Courts?
A. There are no pickleball lines on the court, but you are welcome to come and play with your pickleball equipment. Just do not put any tape or markings down on the court.

Q. What COVID-19 safety protocols will be expected to follow on the court?
A. As much as possible we ask that you maintain 6ft. of social distancing between you and all other players on the courts. Once your hour is up you will need to immediately vacate the court so that our team can come in to clean and disinfect the nets and entrance.

Q. Will you be offering Tennis Camp or Tennis Lessons?
A. YES! Coach Adam will be running a half-day youth tennis program this summer for grades K-8.  Learn more about his J Tennis Academy here.  He will also be offering private lessons on Court 1. To arrange a lesson, contact Adam at astein@jcc.org

Q. If I have concerns or questions about the courts who should I contact?
A. You can email your concerns to rchinsky@jcc.org
